The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a qualified physician leader to be the Associate Medical Director for The Center for Children and Women - Southwest.

Job Duties

We are seeking an Ob/Gyn specialist leader who will collaborate with a team to provide best care and achieve quality metrics.

  • Collaborates with administrative partners in a shared leadership model.
  • Partners with other leaders to develop clinical and operational guidelines.
  • Provides comprehensive assessment, medical and surgical management for obstetric and gynecologic conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Supervises and teaches Ob/Gyn residents and medical students in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Participates in formal and informal education programs for students of all types, other health professionals, and the general community.
  • Works collaboratively with team members to lead on-going NCQA designation and quality improvement initiatives for both inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Participates in and actively supports the programs of the partner hospitals.
  • Acts as the collaborating physician for midwifery team, creates schedules and leads other administrative activities.
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) OR completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology and eligible to sit for certification with the ABOG.

Experience: Minimum 4 years experience in full-service obstetrics/gynecology practice; evidence of leadership experience/expertise

Required Certification/Licenses/Registration: Unrestricted license to practice medicine from the Texas Medical Board
