Job Description

Position Highlights:

  • Responsible for providing oversite to the cash posting, adjustment, and refund processing processes related to Hospital or MMG Receivables

Ideal Candidate:

  • The ideal candidate will have experience dealing with accounts receivable transactions in a health care setting


  • Oversight of all MCC and MMG payment and adjustment posting and refund processing
  • Ensure all financial transactions are processed according to policies and procedures as set forth by Finance Dept
  • Develop and monitor operational processes and productivity standards for all responsible areas
  • Coordinates a staffing plan that meets organizational needs.  Monitors performance of staff and works with them to achieve productivity goals.
  • Coordinates and manages the cash posting, refund, and adjustment operations, ensuring that the accounts receivable records meet the standards established by Moffitt
  • Develops and maintains cash reconcilitation processes
  • Maintains credit balance levels at acceptable levels
  • Hires, trains, counsels and terminates staff
  • Keeps director well informed of department status, processes, issues, improvments, goals, achievements as well as regulatory and contractual changes, issues, concerns, and trends

Credentials and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required - field of study: Healthcare, Administration, Finance, Business
  • Minimum of eight (8) years experience in a healthcare setting directly responsible for accounts receivable transactions
    • ****in lieu of bachelor's degree, minimum of four (4) years management experience and two (2) additional years (for a total of ten (10) years) of cash posting experience in a health care setting
