Job Purpose

The Bobby R. Alford Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery is looking for a qualified individual to serve as a Clinical Operations Associate.  The Department is located in the Jamail Specialty Care Center located on the McNair Campus.

Job Duties
  • Plans, organizes, and leads clinical projects in an efficient manner.
  • Resolves customer service issues, including billing or appointments, in person or by phone, e-mail, or MyChart.
  • Work with providers to develop and prioritize clinical practice goals and objectives. Specifically initiatives associated with practice development and community outreach.
  • Responsible for the project management of all clinical and business process improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Leads the onboarding process for all new providers within the department.
  • Ability to progress departmental projects by collaborating with other central departments, such as Ambulatory Operations, Patient Resource Center, Patient Business Services, Legal, HR and Finance as necessary.
  • Fosters an environment that encourages and supports self-development and learning through regular, timely feedback.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word and Excel.)  
  • Knowledge of EPIC.
  • Continues to follow-up on all open tasks and provides status updates to key stakeholders. 
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills, a strong sense of urgency, keen attention to detail, ability to work independently and be able to effectively manage multiple priorities in an environment under time and resource pressures.  
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.  Listens and understands providers' points of view. 
  • Creates and supports a climate of trust, openness, and honest communication.  
     
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in business or science.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's in Business Administration or Master's in Healthcare Administration or other related field.
