In this laboratory, students gain hands-on experience with the topics discussed in Physics I (Newtonian mechanics, vibrations and oscillations, waves and sound, thermodynamics, electricity, magnetism, simple circuits and optics), concurrent enrollment required. Additionally, students are introduced to methods of experimentation in physics including good measurement techniques, simple data analysis and scientific writing.

This Laboratory meets Tuesday from 1:15 - 4:15 pm during the fall 2020 term.

Candidates must hold a PhD in Physics, Astronomy, or Astrophysics, have a record of successful teaching at the undergraduate level and familiarity/experience with online/hybrid instruction. Experience teaching Astronomy is preferred.
