Posting Summary
The Shafto Laboratory invites applications for a grant-funded Post-Doctoral Associate position to begin September 1, 2020, in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Rutgers University-Newark, within a research project on human-machine cooperation and teaming. We specifically seek an individual with strong computational and mathematical training and interests in probabilistic methods in machine and human learning.

Responsibilities will include refining and formalizing questions, deriving mathematical statements, and conducting computational simulations. The successful candidate will be expected to assist the PI in supervision of master’s and graduate students and collaborate with fellow postdocs and other lab personnel. The position is grant-funded for one year with the possibility of renewal.
