EPIGENETICS/SIGNAL TRANSDUCTION/SKIN CANCER

Position: Postdoctoral Research Scientist

Job Description: Postdoctoral Research Scientist position is available immediately for highly motivated candidates in the lab of Drs. Bickers and Kim in the Department of Dermatology, Columbia University Medical Center. The project focuses on the genetic and epigenetic modification underlying cancer progression and drug resistance, with a goal toward developing strategies for the prevention and treatment of nonmelanoma skin cancer. Areas of focus include UV skin carcinogenesis, tumor microenvironment, and identifying novel drug targets, and involve multi-omics approaches including transcriptomics, proteomics, and epigenetics.

Position Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Biology, Physiology, Biochemistry, or related field. Research experience with mouse models is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to work independently and effectively complete tasks in a timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications:
Research experience in skin cancer, skin biology, epigenetics, microscopy is highly desired.
