Position(s) would begin the week of September 8th

Saint Mary's College expects a reduced number of students to return to on-campus housing in the Fall. We are putting together a Covid-19 team to support the efforts of regular, safe and efficient testing, We are searching for two additional, part-time, long-term temporary employees to work one day per week thoughout the academic year (September 2020- May 2021).


• Ensure that the correct student turns up at the stated appointment slot for on-site registration by checking name and ID number agaist name list provided by the college.
• Verify with student any respiratory symptoms/contradictions based on checklist provided
• Double check correct client names labels on swab kits and ensure 1 meter spacing at all times
• Inform students on swab process, potential discomfort and next steps after swabs
• Perform Nasopharyngeal swab procedure to collect specimans for lab testing. Attach a patient sticker with lab number onto a specimen container after each swab.
• Follow necessary procedures and secure the swab in the UTM on the lab provided racks.
• Check in on client's well being at all times before and after swab process.
• PPE will be provided

Experience and Qualifications

Required: Experience in the followinf roles (at least six months)

• Nurse
• Phlebotomist
• Experience in a healthcare setting
