Job Description:
The School of Communication Media and the Arts is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach Advertising & Marketing Campaign Design which explores all aspects of creative development leveraging various tactics in print, digital media, out-of-home, in-store, outdoor, PR, experiential, etc.-including ideation, strategy, execution and presentation.

The course stresses strategic development of these integrated tactics that relate to specific marketing challenges in a single program or campaign delivered in a Creative Brief. This brief is informed by client direction which may ask students to develop, for example, a 360 degree, multi-touch point advertising/marketing campaign for a client's goods and services such as a fast-food restaurant chain, consumer product launch or service such as Uber.

This course will closely simulate an agency workflow process to help prepare students on what to expect in an agency setting. Note: Not every agency works the same way and can be different in their philosophy and culture but the fundamentals covered in the course will help provide a realistic expectation.

This course currently meets two evenings per week in Fall 2020: M&W 6:30-9:15 Onsite on our Fairfield campus plus possible blended course.


Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be an Art Director or Creative Director, with a MAT, must have at least BA in the Graphic Design Field. Must have 5 to 10 years experience in Advertising agency work and provide portfolio of work.
