Job Description

Essential Functions
Oversee the development and maintenance of the college’s website and social media platforms. Assist the communication specialist
with projects including, but not limited to, recruitment materials, event coordination, communications and marketing development.
Other duties assigned by the dean or associate dean. Complete an online application and attach a resume, cover letter, and portfolio of writing and design materials.

Work Schedule 8-5; variable
Additional Duties
Some evenings weekends for special events

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field. At least one-year experience in communication or related field.

Preferred Qualifications
Excellent oral & written communication and design skills. Knowledge and experience managing multiple social media platforms. Willingness to learn new technologies as needed for the position. Prior experience with HTML or other code-related software for websites. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and other related communication/business software. General knowledge of University policies and procedures. Designing, writing, proofreading and editing skills. Knowledge of communication concepts and principles including professional journalistic procedure, practices and styles. Ability to conceptualize, design, prepare and produce communication materials. Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects under limited supervision.
