Job Description


Manages and coordinates the activities of the Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI) at Baylor College of Medicine. Activities include managing budget cycle, organizing lecture series and symposia, coordination of educational activities, overseeing basic and translational research studies, and development of collaborative research grant proposals.

Job Duties
  • Assist with the development of annual progress reports, goals, and budget proposals.
  • Manage projects to ensure their implementation, and plans a schedule of meetings and deadlines for completion of projects.
  • Assist in the maintenance of web pages and social media profiles to describe ongoing research functions for the CVRI.
  • Organize lecture series, symposia, arranges travel arrangements of visiting speakers.
  • Coordinate courses organized by CVRI for (post)graduate trainees.
  • Supervise clinical studies and maintains biorepositories on behalf of the CVRI.
  • Manage facilities for basic and translational research, trains and supervises scientists who utilize these facilities, and prepares annual reports related to studies facilitated by the CVRI.Assist with the development of collaborative research grant proposals.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain appropriate policies, procedures, and standards concerning projects.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience Required: Four years of relevant experience.
  • Certification/Licenses/Registration: None Required.
