Job Purpose

Procurement and related administrative functions are an essential component of the administrative support provided by the Center for Comparative Medicine.  Under general supervision, the Coordinator, Supply Chain will process purchase orders, assists with billing and entering data and effectively communicate with vendors, department faculty and staff.  This position requires ability to plan work flow to ensure critical deadlines are met.  As a member of the CCM business office team, this position requires excellent communication skills, ability to work on a variety of administrative tasks with great attention to detail.

Job Duties
  • Reviews and approves shopping carts in SRM.
  • Checks account accuracy and validity.
  • Responds to e-mails and phone calls.
  • Provides services to staff by communicating on their behalf, following up on orders, confirming delivery dates, and resolving any questions or concerns involving their purchase request.
  • Compiles report to identify blocked invoices.
  • Clears blocked invoices and changes pricing or quantity to resolve encumbrances.
  • Organizes purchase orders that require a good receipt.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education Required: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience Required: Two years of relevant experience.
