Postdoctoral Positions at Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute
Jae Jung Laboratory: Cleveland Clinic has appointed Jae Jung, Ph.D., chair of Lerner Research Institute’s Department of Cancer Biology. He also serves as director of the new Center for Global and Emerging Pathogens Research.
The Jung laboratory is divided into four areas: (1) virus-induced cancer (gamma-2 herpesvirus and hepatitis B virus), (2) inflammation and immunity (host-pathogen standoff, programmed cell death, and lung/brain inflammation) (3) emerging pathogens (Flavivirus, Dengue virus and Zika virus; Bunyavirus, Severe Fever with Thrombocytopenia virus and Heartland virus; and Coronavirus, Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2) and (4) viral vector and vaccine stabilization. Our research uses cutting-edge genomics, biochemistry, structural biology, immunology and bioinformatics for basic and translational researches (http://uscmmi.com/jaejunglab/)
Qualifications: Candidates should have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree, and expertise in any area of biology.
Position Description: Any clinically relevant exciting topics are welcome. Moreover, we have extensive collaborations with two new research centers, Center for Global and Emerging Pathogens Research and Center for Immunotherapy and Precision Immuno-Oncology.
