POSITION SUMMARY:
The CIO/Director of Information Technology is responsible for providing overall leadership, vision, strategic management, and accountability for college-wide information technology services.The CIO will work closely with campus IT leadership, campus partners, and departmental experts to advise, formulate and implement policies related to the management of the college's information technology needs and supporting the college's units. In carrying out these responsibilities, the CIO/Director must ensure that the infrastructure and applications provide an environment that is cost-effective and responsive to student, staff, and faculty needs and addresses the unique research, teaching, and extension/outreach missions of our college.

DEGREE AND AREA OF SPECIALIZATION:
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred; formal training in field of Technology Management preferred.

MINIMUM YEARS AND TYPE OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:
-Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible work experience in the field of information technology (IT) management.
-A record of successful administrative leadership in a higher education and/or research setting
-Ability to develop highly effective working relationships with a wide variety of staff, faculty, researchers, technical personnel, and external partners
-Excellent customer service skills
-Strong communication skills
-Supervisory experience
-Experience managing budgets
-Ideal candidate will have an aptitude for leadership and management, and a history of being positive, proactive, and self-motivated.
-Background in relevant technology stacks, industry standard software development languages, and cutting-edge research computing technology (e.g. GPUs) preferred
