Opportunity Open to Internal Candidates within the Faculty of Biological Sciences Only.
Are you an experienced academic with the ambition to take on a challenging new senior leadership position? Do you have the international expertise to help us achieve our internationalisation ambitions?
Working with the Executive Dean of the Faculty and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor: International, you will play a major strategic role undertaking cross-institutional activity, contributing to strategic developments and determining, leading and implementing the strategy for internationalisation within the faculty. You will be proactive in engaging staff with that strategy and will build a focused culture of teamwork, with relevant central and faculty-based professional services, to achieve synergistic results, providing guidance and support as necessary.
Working with and through appropriate faculty and University structures, you will seek to identify and develop opportunities for new initiatives to support the University’s international ambitions.
The role is expected to be 0.60fte, with approximately one third of that time focused on University-wide activity and the remainder being faculty/school facing. Applicants must also hold an academic post in their faculty at Grade 9 or 10.
