Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a qualified investigator to study how certain estrogen receptor alpha (ER) fusion proteins that arise in metastatic breast cancer patients due to ESR1 (gene encoding ER) chromosomal translocations drive breast cancer progression and metastasis. These ESR1 fusion proteins lack a ligand binding domain and thus cannot be treated with standard-of-care endocrine therapies. New therapeutic strategies are thus needed to inhibit "active" ESR1 fusions.
