Position Title: Program Specialist, Student Support, Graduate Business Programs
Open to: Internal and External Applicants
Full-Time or Part-Time Status: Full-Time, 12 months

Position Summary or Faculty Qualifications
The Program Specialist provides administrative support for new students in the MBA and Master of Science Programs in the Haub School of Business. The incumbent will contribute significantly to new student enrollment, student retention and persistence by providing assistance with academic advising, course registration, new student on-boarding and orientation, international student support, graduation & commencement activities, and other initiatives and activities that contribute toward providing an exceptional student experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for newly admitted students in the MBA and Master of Science Programs
 Oversees and manages the on-boarding process for newly admitted students, from time of acceptance, driving toward new student registration, and persisting with first semester support.
 Coordinates the new student orientation each semester, for campus and online students.
 Responsible for Social Media platforms used to engage, communicate and enhance the student experience throughout the program.

Collaborate with MBA and MS admissions staff to support applicant curriculum questions and campus visit requests.
Supports the Conditional and Provisional admitted students to ensure they meet program acceptance requirements
 Communicate regularly with new students (via email, phone, in-person, social media, etc.) to ensure they are fully informed of academic scheduling and deadlines associated with their programs, assist with course registration
 Work with other Program Managers to create, implement, and manage innovative programs that improve the HSB graduate student experience.
 Assist with creating course schedules each fall, spring, and summer term. Make recommendations on course selections and number of sections based on newly admitted student projections.
 Assist MBA and MS Graduate Admissions staff to manage scholarship awards each semester.
 Develop and implement new student entrance survey; measure new student data against exit survey data and recommend improvements based on findings.

Secondary Responsibilities:
 Assist the Director to ensure enrollment goals are met.
 Assist the Director to ensure academic quality is delivered.
Attend recruitment events as needed.
 Support and collaborate on special projects with team members from the MBA and Master of Science Programs.
 Other duties as assigned by the Director.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
• Some evening hours are necessary
• Some travel is required

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience providing customer service
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
• Demonstrated success with providing exceptional high-level customer service
• Demonstrated experience being adaptable, patient, and a self-starter
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability and desire to work with diverse student groups
• Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of Saint Joseph’s University

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree
• Previous professional experience working with graduate students
