Job Description

PROJECT COORDINATOR, LABORATORY OF SOCIAL MACHINES (LSM), Media Lab, to handle day-to-day project and program activities, working under the direction of the program manager and closely with program staff and students in support of the growth and sustainability of LSM projects. Will provide overall project coordination and support for LSM projects and programs from inception, to start-up, to conclusion; support development of project plans and processes; and coordinate deliverable development, review, and finalization processes. Responsibilities include managing project logistics, monitoring key milestones, managing timelines, communicating and meeting due dates, and keeping track of deliverables; coordinating and facilitating project team meetings, agendas, and follow-up; providing status updates for project progress; assisting with development of project and milestone templates; and creating and maintaining knowledge-base for projects. Will also facilitate relationships with collaborators/stakeholders and build community within the team and LSM; organize and implement project workshops; draft, develop, organize, and maintain project materials, information, and documentation; maintain contact information; support project communication; onboard and assist team members; process all aspects of protocol submissions for Committee on the Use of Humans as Experimental Subjects (COUHES), including record keeping, compliance, training, etc.; and perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; at least two years’ related program coordination experience; excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with a diverse group of researchers, students, community partners, and other affiliates; ability to remain flexible and multitask; comfort working in a demanding, fast-paced environment; and an interest in working with researchers to translate research out of the lab and into the field.
