Job Description

The Strategic Workforce Management team at Moffitt Cancer Center exists to undertake a conscious and deliberate approach to attract, develop and retain people with the right aptitude, abilities, and “fit” to meet current and future organizational needs.  
 
The Human Resources Business Partner (HR BP), as a trusted advisor to the Vice Presidents, Directors and Managers they support, must assist in developing strategic plans that support the business objectives.  They will assist in developing both short and long term plans to drive engagement and increase employee retention, while consistently applying Moffitt's policies, management practices and legal requirements.  As a result, knowledge of succession management, legal requirements, workforce planning and business needs are necessary to successfully implement talent planning best practices.  
 
 The HR BP services as a consultant to management on HR related issues and acts as an employee advocate and change agent.  The HR BP assesses and anticipates HR related needs, communicating needs proactively with Executive Leadership to formulate and facilitate integrated solutions.  The HR BP forms partnerships across the HR service areas to deliver value added service to management and staff that supports Moffitt’s strategic objectives.  The HR BP is responsible for ensuring that their assigned units are proactively addressing their human resource requirements to ensure success.  The HR BP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, its mid-range plans, its culture, strategic initiatives and competition.
