Job Description:
Student Financial Assistance is seeking applications for a Coordinator of Counseling and Outreach. This person will be responsible for various administrative duties within the department in regard to supervising the counseling services provided by the department, coordinating outreach events, managing social media outlets for the department, and serving as the liaison between Enrollment Management and the department in regard to special student situations requiring collaboration between the two entities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.

Management of counseling and communication outreach staff as well as associated student workers
Counseling student and families with regard to financial aid programs
Coordinating outreach events for the office
Managing and developing outreach materials used by the department
Overseeing communications from the department with regard to emails, phone calls, correspondence, etc.
Serving as the social media contact and managing the various social media accounts for the department
Outreach associated with communicating changes to programs, availability of funds, student, parent and departmental inquiries
Secondary Duties:

Seeking improvements in services and process flow for students and families
Assisting management with various audits and/or activities as needed

Bachelor's degree
Experience with financial aid programs and/or processes
Knowledge of regulations pertaining to federal, state and/or institutional aid programs
