Job Purpose
The English Department at Tennessee Tech University is seeking a full-time, Lecturer appointment in Technical Theatre available in the Theatre Concentration to begin August 1, 2021.

Essential Functions
The successful candidate will serve as Production Manager/Technical Director for the TTU Theatre program and oversee the technical aspects of the department’s three annual theatrical productions. There is also the possibility of teaching courses in other areas of theatre as well as directing opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications
Earned MFA with a specialization in technical theatre by the time of appointment. Candidate should have expertise in set design, construction, and Production Management. Successful college-level teaching experience. The candidate must have capability in scenic design and be able to work effectively with students, faculty, and university personnel. Experience in production management and set construction. The candidate must also have the knowledge and desire to teach Introduction to Theatre. Must have the ability to teach online.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Vectorworks, possible background in costuming and/or makeup, lighting design/sound design and professional theatre experience desirable.

Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2021. Three year contract renewable based on satisfactory performance review and needs of the department.
