Are you a researcher with proven abilities to carry out research in technical textiles? Are you able to use your expertise to support or complement our existing strengths in textile technology?
You will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team to undertake a research project in functionalising cellulose polymers for the formation of finctional fibres. You will have specific responsibility for implementing the functionalisation and characterisation of the cellulosic polymers and fibres obtained. You will also provide general support for the teaching and laboratory work within the School of Design.
You will possess demonstrable experience of working in a technical capacity within textile discipline and it is essential that you hold a PhD in polymer science, textile chemistry, textile science and technology or related discipline. You will also have demonstrable experience of working in a technical capacity both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
