Summary of Position
Under administrative review from the Department Chair, provide administrative support to faculty and students in a complex academic department, which includes undergraduate and graduate programs including the Masters of Science for Teachers in Mathematics summer graduate program and Integrated Applied Mathematics program. Supervise department office staff and operations using independent judgment in applying/adapting departmental guidelines, policies and procedures, and where applicable, knowledge of sponsored programs.

-Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
-Experience with student information systems.
-Supervisory experience.
-Organizational skills.
-Advanced computer skills, including complex word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, database management, use of search engines, keyboarding skills, and other software applications as required by hiring department/unit.
-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the general public.

Additional Preferred Qualifications
-Work experience in college/university environment.
-Knowledge of Banner, WebIntelligence, and PeopleAdmin.
