Position Summary:
The Division of Human Services, Justice, Legal Studies, and Social Work is recruiting a Manager for Project Development to work closely with Principal Investigators to advance the implementation effectiveness of externally funded research projects. Internal Recruitment - This recruitment is open internally to current UA employees or those otherwise eligible to apply to internal postings.
Duties:
• Work closely with Principal Investigators in designing strategies for stakeholder needs assessment, product design, product development, and dissemination and utilization of products, and evaluation. Coordinate and plan for reoccurring projects. • Work closely with Principal Investigators in implementing strategies for community awareness building, dissemination and utilization of products falling within externally funded projects. • Coordinate social media campaigns, events, and activities that build awareness among stakeholders about the availability and usefulness of products that improve the well-being of particular constituencies. • Participate in evaluating the dissemination and utilization outcomes of particular products. • Develop, curate and manage project and product websites. • Undertake writing assignments in support of design, dissemination, and utilization activities and campaigns. • Serve as a principal editor of grant related products. • Gather and organize publicly available data supporting the design of dissemination and utilization projects through web-based searches. • Coordinate preparation of key grant reports in collaboration with Principal Investigators. • Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary
The Manager for Project Development in the Division of Human Services, Justice, Legal Studies, and Social Work works closely with Principal Investigators in advancing the implementation effectiveness of externally funded research projects and is responsible for planning and administration of project centered activities in a staff capacity. The position contributes to the fulfillment of the aims, goals, and objectives of those projects and maintains timeframes as stipulated within proposals and contracts. The Manager for Project Development advances the dissemination and utilization of knowledge products that Principal Investigators and staff members create and test within externally funded projects. The Manager for Project Development provides technical support in the areas of social media, website development and management, product development, social marketing, and dissemination and utilization campaigns. This position is a critical member of the research project team whose work will be central in advancing the impact of research, training, technical assistance and educational projects that fall within a diverse array of externally funded proposals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of methods of organizing research analysis.
Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and institutional laws, rules and regulations relating to administration of program.
Knowledge of marketing principles and their use in advancing dissemination and utilization of key products that advance the health and well-being of particular groups.
Working knowledge of computer information systems and applicable software and databases.
Basic knowledge of research and development in applied research, training and service projects the purpose of which is to create, test, and scale promising products that advance the health and well-being of particular groups.
Skills in technical and expository writing with capabilities for positioning messaging and communication for specific audiences.
Skills in the use of social marketing for advancing product dissemination and utilization activities.
Skills for working effectively in team environments.
Ability to comprehend written material and interpret and apply policies, rules, and regulations.
Ability to interpret and apply complex policies, rules, an regulations.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups and to work successfully as a member of a team.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to organize and present facts and opinions.
Ability to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions.
Typical Experience
Two years experience related to the program specialty.

Required Education
Associate’s degree in communication, business, or related field and two years experience related to the program specialty, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
