The University Library is seeking to hire (1) diverse and talented Library Reference Specialist on a part-time basis (.625 FTE/25 hours) at our Alpharetta Campus. The Alpharetta campus is 26 miles north of the Atlanta campus.

The scope of responsibility will include these essential duties but is not limited to the following:

Perform research assistance for students, faculty, and staff at the desk, via phone, and online
Provide basic technology support
Assist with library’s circulation functions and processing of materials
May assist with library instruction
Assist in implementing new reference services as needed
Enforce library policies and procedures
Help plan and participate in library events, campus activities, and creation of displays
Assist with collection development and maintenance
May supervise library in absence of supervisor
Participate in professional development and departmental meetings
A typical 25-hour work schedule is Monday – Thursday mid-afternoon to 7 pm and Friday 1 pm - 5:30 pm, but will frequently be asked to work other hours.

**Note: Schedule changes will occur during holidays and breaks based on the hours and needs of the campus library.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and one year of library, customer service, or office experience; or a combination of education and experience.
