Who we are

The Student Affairs Marketing and Communications team at Texas A&M University provides high-quality, and timely marketing and communication support to the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and its 17 departments. It also communicates to Texas A&M students the value of services, events, and programs available within the division through a variety of marketing campaigns and channels. We aspire to be the trusted marketing and communication source for student affairs among Texas A&M students and our division staff, and to provide high-impact work experiences to Texas A&M students who are pursuing degrees in marketing, communication, and related disciplines.

What we want

A talented marketing and communication professional with expertise in multimedia project coordination who can think strategically while handling the hands-on daily duties of video production for the Division of Student Affairs. The ideal candidate will have experience managing the simultaneous production of multiple videos for a college student audience, will work independently with limited supervision, will think collaboratively and work well with our team. We prefer candidates who will approach work with an open mind and can-do attitude.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in digital communications and multimedia or a related and applicable field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Three years of related multimedia experience (videography, photography, website design, digital graphic arts and animation)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to conceptualize, plan, and manage complex multimedia projects, particularly video, from start to finish with limited supervision
Videography and photography skills, including framing and composition, lighting, and audio
Digital graphic design skills using software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects)
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
A positive, can-do attitude and a detail-oriented work style
Knowledge of website design, specifically WordPress
Knowledge of basic marketing and mass communication principles, including social media
Preferred Education and Experience:

Master’s degree in digital communications and multimedia or a related and applicable field
Five years of related multimedia experience (videography, photography, website design, digital graphic arts and animation)
Preferred Licenses and Certifications:

Certificate in multimedia design and development from an institution of higher education
Certificate in animation that includes video editing, Photoshop, and Flash design from an institution of higher education
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to tell a compelling story or sell an idea through video
Familiarity with storyboard software such as StudioBinder or StoryBoard Pro
Familiarity with Frame.io or similar video review/approval platforms
Skilled with 3D/2D animation and motion graphics
GoPro and drone video skills and experience
Infographics conceptualization and design
