You Will:

Reporting to the HR Coordinator Supervisor, the HR Coordinator Associate serves as a critical member of the Shared Services Center Human Resource Operations Team. The HR Coordinator provides administrative support to numerous University units across campus. The HR Coordinator will process job postings, personnel action requests, payroll changes, payroll reporting, special projects, other complex transactions, and audit inquiries. This is an opt-in service that provides coordination and processing of front-end HR transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain knowledge of and follow University of Michigan procedures
You are comfortable spending 80% of time completing transactions which demand a high rate of accuracy
Use on-the-job training to process repeatable HR transactions
Think critically to ensure understanding of the transaction request and coordinate next steps
Process personnel action requests (PAR)
Manage job openings with eRecruit (PeopleSoft)
Enter HR job data in MPathways (PeopleSoft)
Process appointments for staff, faculty, non-student, and student temporary employees
Conduct resume review, interview scheduling, and reference checks
Process HR transaction requests using Case Management System
Frequently present in a group setting
Work in a team environment
Build professional relationships and deliver excellent customer service for internal and external customers
Employ process improvement principles to improve our processes and meet needs of our customers.

You Have:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:

Willingness to provide a high level of customer service and satisfaction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient standard office computer skills with (i.e. Microsoft Office, Google Suite)
