Job Summary
Responsible for managing the enterprise IU CRM Initiative Platform Administration team with a high degree of independence and autonomy. Responsible for UITS-scale systems development, integration, implementation, and customization project required by IU faculty, staff, and students on all IU campuses. Provides strong leadership in the design and development of robust and reliable UITS-scale CRM platform applications.

Participates in the development of long-range plans for systems development, acquisition, and integration. Responsible for the implementation of CRM platform applications; conducts research, evaluates alternative, and propose solutions. Serves as liaison with user departments and heads special assignment groups and serves on various committees. Establishes priorities for tasks to ensure development and implementation of projects happen on time. Prepares a variety of reports and analyses supporting short- and long-range objectives. Reviews, evaluates, and approves proposed modification and design specifications. Provides time and cost estimates and documentation for these proposals.

Provides technical leadership, expertise and supervision of activities needed for systems analysis, design, and programming as related to systems development, integration, implementation, and maintenance. Coordinates the activities of the technical team with other development teams. Plans, organizes, assigns, and supervises the work activities including initiating personnel actions on hiring, promotions, and terminations. Conducts performance evaluations. Plans and assists in the education, training, and technical development of team.

Represents the institution at local, state, and national professional organizations.

The job’s work is in the area of cloud based CRM platform solutions. Selection preference may be given to candidates with experience working with one or more related systems.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and four years of customer/application support, programming, or related experience and one year of management experience.

Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.

Demonstrated leadership skills, including strong team building, problem solving, decision making, motivation, and communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary for working collaboratively within a diverse University environment. Creativity, flexibility and high energy for providing leadership to excellent technical staff during rapid-paced change. Skills in systems analysis, project management, systems development, software engineering, budget and staff management, and software.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree. Degree in computer science, information technology, or business systems. Five years of progressive computing experience in the area of systems development and/or system administration experience in a large complex computing environment. Experience with cloud based products. Prefer direct skill in managing large multi-campus system projects.
