Job Summary
Serves as the Administrative Assistant to Area Co-Directors. This position is responsible for monitoring department budget and financial entries, analyzing statements and resolving discrepancies. Responsible for scheduling all semester courses, overseeing room reservations, compilation of Overload Teaching Reports for faculty, monitoring Teaching Credit Reports, monitoring website, direct administrative support to the Co-Directors, as well as, indirect faculty support. Responsible for maintaining personnel files on all staff, producing simple and complex spreadsheets and documentation, and serving as liaison with other outside parties, other departments, and the Dean's and Business offices.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED plus two years of relevant experience.

Excellent organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information. Strong communication and listening skills. Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision making skills. Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities. Maintains composure under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications
A professional attitude and commitment to confidentiality. Strong analytical skills. Well-developed work ethic and self-motivation. Attention to detail, and willingness to take decision-making initiative. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint. Ability to problem solve and handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines with numerous interruptions.

Academic coursework beyond high school, use of Microsoft Teams, and knowledge of IU systems is strongly recommended.
