Position Description
The Marketing Department in the University of Louisville’s College of Business seeks qualified applicants for a full-time, teaching-intensive faculty position (non-tenure track) in Marketing to begin August 1, 2021. Expected teaching load is 4/4 (24 credit hours per year). Appointment will be at the rank of instructor.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach multiple sections of the undergraduate course Integrative Marketing Strategy (Senior Level Course) in addition to meeting reasonable service responsibilities for the Department and College. Capability to teach other courses such as Marketing Research (using Excel and SPSS for data analysis) and/or other elective courses for the Department would be highly desirable. There may be opportunities to teach MBA or MSBA (Master of Science in Business Analytics) courses in Marketing depending upon expertise and interest. Past experience in teaching Marketing Strategy and other courses in Marketing would be a plus. The department is offering an increasing number of courses in Distance Education (on-line) and Remote formats and hence experience in teaching in these formats would also be highly desirable.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess an MBA or a master’s degree in Marketing or a closely related field. Candidates ideally will have experience teaching at the university level. The ability to develop and teach online courses will also be a consideration.
