Responsibilities
New York Institute of Technology- College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks a Research Technician to work in the Department of Bio-medical Sciences at our Long Island (Old Westbury) campus. Under the direction of the Assistant Professor, the Research Technician will be responsible for the following:

Conduct and assist with general molecular biology experiments under the direction of principal investigator.
Purifying DNA samples, analyzing PCR samples from mice, taking care of the mouse lines, and generating NGS libraries.
Assist with routine maintenance of Dr. Yingtao Zhao’s lab.
Order and monitor research supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science or related area.
Must have knowledge of Biology.
Field of expertise in hands-on mouse works is preferred.
Basic laboratory skills such as pipetting, PCR for genotyping, and taking care of mice is preferred.
Basic Biological knowledge needed.
