Job Description

The Do laboratory in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Houston is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on an intracellular catalysis project funded by the National Institutes of Health. Our research goal is to develop novel catalytic agents for biological applications and technologies.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in organometallic chemistry, bioinorganic chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related fields. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and experience in the biological sciences. However, those with a synthetic chemistry background and are interested in learning biology are also welcome to apply.

This research position includes full benefits and can be renewed for up to three years, contingent on work performance and mutual agreement. Interviews will begin immediately with a start date preferably by June 2021 but is negotiable. Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible.
