Overview
The Education Pathway and Mentoring Program Coordinator III coordinates two programs. In the education program this person coordinates recruitment and student support of undergraduate and graduate students in all education programs in the Uintah Basin. To foster these efforts, this person effectively partners with local school districts and the Teacher Education and Leadership Department. This person oversees all related operational activities.



The Statewide Faculty-to-Student Mentoring program is the second program this person coordinates. For this program the coordinator manages all data, assists with addressing student needs gathered from sensitive data, assists in operational activities, including IRB compliance, and assists in the preparation of reports and grant applications.



Under the direction of the Program Administrator, the Education Pathway and Mentoring Program Coordinator III will have experience and knowledge related to higher education program development, recruitment and student support, and knowledge and appreciation for the K-12 environment and pathways. Additionally, the Program Coordinator III will have experience in collaborative endeavors and will be adept at coordinating with staff, faculty, and students in a professional and productive manner. The Program Coordinator III will also have experience with research methods and data analysis to ensure that these two programs are meeting their objectives. Lastly, this person will have writing and graphic skills necessary to assist in the production of timely reports and related grants.

Responsibilities
Reporting and Supervisory Responsibilities

The Education Pathway and Mentoring Program Coordinator III will report to the Associate Campus Director assigned. The Program Coordinator III may train others, lead and direct meetings and supervise staff and student employees, graduate students, and/or volunteers.



Typical Functions

Coordinates and implements all aspects of the educational pathways and partnerships, including:
Student recruitment and support.
Regular and frequent interactions with students to ensure students are on-track.
Supporting and encouraging students who are struggling.
Supports implementation and evaluation of the Statewide Faculty-to-Student Mentoring Program.
Develops and supports partnership with school district administration, teachers, and schools as well as stakeholder partners and donors.
Serves as the on-campus liaison between students, faculty, staff, other departments, and/or external constituencies and maintains daily office hours at the Uintah Basin Campus.
Facilitates meetings, trainings, seminars, and special projects within the Uintah Basin.
Coordinate's activities of support staff, faculty, and/or volunteers engaged in implementation and administration of program objectives.
Monitors and administers program revenues and expenses; may develop or participate in the development of funding proposals for the program.
Writes, edits, and coordinates development of program materials, promotional materials, educational materials, training manuals and brochures, as appropriate to the program.
Collects and analyzes data; prepares scheduled and special reports; maintains program records.
Ensures completion of clerical and administrative support tasks, including creation and editing of program correspondence, purchasing documents, reports, and other publications.
Writes and/or assists with writing grants and proposals as appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of the program; may participate in other fundraising activities.
May maintain and create content for program website.
May perform specialized activities of a programmatic nature in direct support of the accomplishment of program objectives and protocol.
May train and direct lower-level staff, student employees, volunteers, and/or graduate students.
May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the campus and program.
May teach or lead seminars, classes, and/or workshops in person and/or virtually in the Uintah Basin and across the State.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
