$29,120-$40,800/annualized (flexible based upon qualifications)

Purpose of Position
To administratively coordinate all logistics, inventory, purchasing and payments associated with the Athletic Bands. Coordinate recruitment for the Department of Music.

Responsible for assisting the Athletic Bands (marching and pep bands) to operate smoothly.

Essential Functions
1. Use initiative and independent judgment in the application of administrative matters and accompanying decisions pertaining to assigned programs and projects.
2. Act as a liaison with other departments and agencies to coordinate safety, transportation, repairs, building services and game/event logistics.
3. Maintain and monitor all instrumental equipment and uniform inventory.
4. Prepare and process various electronic accounting documents with regards to Athletic Band purchasing, travel and contracts.
5. Provide direction and training to Athletic Band staff and volunteers as needed.
6. Coordinate undergraduate and graduate audition communications, audition days, and recruiting events.
7. Serve on committees and engage in other appropriate activities to develop Athletic Band presence within the university as assigned.
8. Assist Music Department staff as needed with events and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Military Band experience

Participation in an ensemble at the collegiate level or military band.

Two years general administrative experience.

Experience with marching band instruction, familiar with the operations of band at the collegiate level including basic instrumental repair and music arranging.

Strong organizational skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and advanced problem identification and resolution skills.

Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.



Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Music or related field

Familiarity with the operations of band at the collegiate level including basic instrumental repair and music arranging.

Supervisory experience.
