Administrative Director in Student Life

What We’re Looking For
The Administrative Director in Student Life is an integral member of the Office of the Vice President for Student Life. This position supports the office to ensure that the Division of Student Life’s workflows is efficient and productive. The Administrative Director also plays a role in supporting the Division of Student Life by serving on work teams and committees to assist with project management across the division. This position reports directly to the Vice President for Student Life as well as with the Associate Vice President and Dean of Students.

The Office of the Vice President for Student Life is looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree, three years of experience working in a Student Life division, and an active Christian faith are required. Five years of relevant work experience are preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and an understanding of the different needs of our faculty, staff, students, parents, and guests.
• Ability to set priorities to perform and manage workload involving a large number of interruptions and sensitive matters.
• Quick thinker with superb attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently of direct supervision.
• Strong desire to learn, read, apply, and convey information accurately.

What You Will Do
• Manage Division of Student Life projects as directed by the Vice President for Student Life or the Associate Vice President and Dean of Students.
• Works to optimize workflow requests and constituent engagement opportunities for Vice President for Student Life and the Associate Vice President and Dean of Students.
• Provide support to complex administrative processes within the Office of the Vice President for Student Life suite (special housing requests, student conduct appeals and correspondence, selection of student regents, contract reviews, presentations, etc.).
• Conduct research on updates, revisions, and the creation of interim and permanent Division of Student Life policies and procedures.
• Assist with filling gaps in staffing or project management across the division.
• Serve on committees or task forces where appropriate.
• Support the work of Division of Student Life work teams and committees (Student Life Assessment Committee, Change Champions, Student Life Staff Development Committee, etc.).
