Do you want to be part of a globally leading research network comprising institutions across Europe? Would you like to support the development of new skills and activities for early stage researchers?
You will join a recently funded European Training Network (ETN) BioTrib (project ID 956004, call H2020-MSCA-ITN-2020). BioTrib offers high-level doctoral training to a total of 15 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) of which 3 will be employed at the University of Leeds. The project lead is Prof Richard M Hall at the University of Leeds who will also be your line manager. BioTrib is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action comprising 5 Universities from across Europe and a series of partner organisations. The programme of research focuses on novel engineering science for the development of innovative solutions to overcome the challenges in joint replacements. You will work in the Institutes of Thermofluids and Functional Surfaces within the School of Mechanical Engineering, University of Leeds. An important aspect of the post is that you will liaise with the other collaborators across Europe as well as the European Commission.
The post will require the successful candidate to work on a range of knowledge exchange duties including, but not limited to, preparing, executing and delivering innovation plans, working with individual early stage researchers on their innovation challenges, delivering regulatory/innovation learning materials to the BioTrib website, organising and delivering innovation and knowledge transfer training activities and ensuring that record keeping and deliverables are complied with in accordance with the grant agreement. You will be expected to attend a number of supervisory board meetings, subcommittees and training events delivered by BioTrib collaborators within Europe.
