Job Description


The Coordinator, Business Operations is responsible for the administrative support for faculty in the Cancer and Hematology Centers in the Department of Pediatrics. You will work with other team members and faculty in administratively supporting clinical and research faculty including processing purchase orders, managing travel, maintaining calendars, and maintaining correspondence.  The specific tasks are aligned with the rest of the coordinators who support faculty in the Cancer Center. This team is responsible for the administrative support in the Cancer Center for our 200+ faculty.  Reports to the Director, Cancer Center Administration.

Job Duties

  • Prepping and maintaining clinical schedules for hematology teams
  • Scheduling Meetings (in person and virtual)
  • Managing onboarding for new faculty and staff
  • Maintaining calendars and ordering officer supplies
  • Escorting visitors
  • Maintaining licenses, memberships, expiration notifications, renewals and reimbursements
  • Pulling and maintaining journal articles
  • Working with faculty to coordinate orders, supplies, PO creation and subscriptions
  • Preparing and maintaining CVs
  • Tracking reports and CME requirements for conferences
  • Tracking and maintaining project lists for faculty
  • Supporting symposium or conference support for faculty participating in conferences
  • Ordering textbooks
  • Managing incoming calls and scheduling meetings
  • Coordinating journal clubs for hematology faculty
  • Coordinating tumor boards for neuro-oncology faculty

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Science, Business Administration or Public Health
  • Two years of related experience (administrative, research or financial)
