Do you have an established background in biodiversity and ecosystems management, with excellent links to policy makers or practitioners both nationally and internationally? Do you want to further your career in one of the UKs leading Universities in research and teaching excellence? 

Conservation Biology is a strategic priority for our Faculty and we  are looking to expand our core expertise by recruiting an academic specialising in one or more of the following areas: biodiversity, conservation ecology, global change biology, decision science applied to ecosystems, quantitative ecology, biodiversity modelling for applied questions, or a related area.

You will continue to build on your existing international networks and research focus, as well as fostering new local, national and international networks in academia and conservation. Working across the boundary between fundamental biodiversity and applied research, you will strive for science that makes a real-world difference. You will play a key role in developing and teaching new postgraduate and undergraduate courses in this area. 

You should have a PhD in biodiversity/ ecology/ conservation science/ conservation biology/ ecosystem management or a related discipline with a track record of research outputs in refereed publications of internationally excellent quality and a track record of partnership with national or international stakeholders or policy makers.
