Do you have a PhD and oral health research experience to lead the day to day delivery of a NIHR funded research project? Do you have expertise of working with families of children with autism and early-years professionals in the community? Do you want to lead the co-design of a new oral health intervention, taking responsibility for a robust needs assessment and then disseminating the findings to a mixed audience? Would you like to develop your project, staff and financial management skills?
We are seeking an enthusiastic team player with strategic planning and project management experience to support a RfPB funded research project. The project will work with families of young children with autism and the professionals who work with them. Together, we will explore the barriers and facilitators to good oral health habits and design a support package. This package will help families to be confident in looking after their child’s teeth. This study will identify what support they need, who could provide it and the best times to provide support.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the project, staff and financial management and will lead the scoping review, qualitative interviews, mapping behaviours determinants using appropriate theories and frameworks and co-design of the intervention prototype, working with families, professionals and wider local and national stakeholders.
