As Associate Professor, you will carry out research, teaching and management within LUBS and contribute to academic leadership in the field of international business and management.
The International Business Division at LUBS is an established and internationally esteemed centre of excellence for scholarly research work and teaching in international business. Under the leadership of its professors, the International Business Division is making great strides in its research performance and exhibits considerable strength and depth. It is one of the leading centres of International Business learning and teaching in the world and offers specialised degree programmes that combine high academic standards with practical application in today's rapidly changing business environment. Academics in the International Business Division provide cutting edge research-informed teaching by bringing their world-leading research and practice expertise in to the classroom.
The International Business Division is also home to the Centre for International Business at the University of Leeds (CIBUL), one of the world's premier scholarly centres for international business and at the forefront of academia and practice. Research development is divided into four main thematic areas, focused especially on the regions of China, India and Southeast Asia. 1. The nature, determinants and impact of foreign direct investment; 2. The strategy of MNEs and countries – impact on home and host country development, productivity and competitiveness; 3. Knowledge management, international entrepreneurship, property rights, and performance; and 4. Methodology in international business and management research.
Leeds University Business School is internationally renowned for the quality of its teaching and its research. Our work covers the full spectrum of business disciplines, teaching undergraduate, masters and doctoral students and creating new knowledge through research. We place a premium on international levels of scholarship and research excellence. We seek to appoint one Lecturer in the field of international business and management. We are particularly interested in candidates specialising in the areas of International Management, MNE Subsidiaries, Global Value Chains, Global Leadership and Governance, and Strategic International Management in their link to the aforementioned themes.
