The International Business Division is looking for an enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Chair of International Business. As Professor of International Business, you will have a sustained track record of internationally recognised research, teaching excellence and academic leadership. Working within the International Business Division, LUBS and University, you will provide academic leadership in the field of international business and management. 

The International Business Division is home to the Centre for International Business at the University of Leeds (CIBUL), one of the world's premier scholarly centres for international business and at the forefront of academia and practice. Research development is divided into four main thematic areas, focused especially on the regions of China, India and Southeast Asia. 1. The nature,  determinants and impact of foreign direct investment; 2. The strategy of MNEs and countries – impact on home and host country development, productivity and competitiveness; 3. Knowledge management, international entrepreneurship, property rights, and performance; and 4. Methodology in international business and management research.

With its strong and experienced membership, the International Business Division is one of the world-leading groups in international business research and education, and your leadership will play a vital role in continuing and developing this tradition. 

Leeds University Business School is internationally renowned for the quality of its teaching and its research. Our work covers the full spectrum of business disciplines, teaching undergraduate, masters and doctoral students and creating new knowledge through research. We place a premium on international levels of scholarship and research excellence. We seek to appoint a professor in the field of international business and management. You will enhance our international reputation with your research expertise. 

Delivering top-quality research outputs that contribute to impact and innovation, you will help us to increase our already-significant international presence and be a key player in our mission to make an exceptional impact on business and society globally, through leadership in research and teaching. 

Candidates will have a sustained track record of integrating research with teaching and learning to deliver an excellent student experience, along with sustained delivery of ambitious and imaginative academic leadership. With the ability to forge strong partnerships across subject areas and disciplines, they will have excellent organisational, collaborative and communication skills. We are particularly interested in candidates specialising in the areas of International Management, International Entrepreneurship, MNE Subsidiaries, Global Value Chains and Global Leadership in their link to the aforementioned themes.
