Job Description

Job Summary
Ensures operational integrity in the design, development, and implementation of systems in the classrooms/other learning environment for maximum availability and performance by monitoring queues, investigating, diagnosing and resolving moderately complex equipment failures.
Develops and implements preventive maintenance procedures; performs inventory control and oversees repair shop and work area.
Installs, tests and monitors applications software to maintain integrity and security and ensure compliance with departmental and industry standards.
Evaluates trends, collaborates on design, specification and acquisition and interacts with external vendors/installers on the implementation of hardware and control systems meeting classroom operational needs.
Researches and stays up-to-date on emerging digital media technologies and multimedia systems.
Analyzes, diagnoses and identifies solutions to complex issues to provide operational support for classroom technology infrastructure.
Prepares, designs, installs and tests software, evaluates trends, recommends new procedures and collaborates on specification, acquisition and implementation of hardware and control systems to ensure integrity of learning environments.
Qualifications
EDUCATION

Required

Bachelor's degree (preferably in a related field.)
WORK EXPERIENCE

Required

Some multimedia systems or related experience.
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.

Working Conditions / Demands
This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and to operate computers and other related technical equipment. The role is required to maintain and interact with computers and frequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
