Summary of Job Duties:
The Post Doctoral Fellow will support the research program on improving food safety of poultry and pork supply chains in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering and the Center of Excellence for Poultry Science at the University of Arkansas. This position will conduct research in development of innovative biosensors for rapid detection of pathogens and antibiotics for applications in agricultural and food supply systems. This position is a one-year appointment, renewable based on the need for the position, availability of funding, and continued satisfactory level of performance in the role.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. degree in a discipline related to biosensing technologies, such as biological engineering, food engineering, or chemical engineering

Experience in interdisciplinary research

Preferred Qualifications:

Research experience in the design and fabrication of nanomaterials-based biosensors for detection of pathogenic bacteria and viruses


Salary Information:

Commensurate with education and experience
