Serving as Assistant Technical Director working at the direction of the Technical Director to build and install and strike scenery for departmental productions.

Responsibilities include:

Serving as scene shop manager, overseeing maintenance of shop. Overseeing student crews and overhire labor assigned to the builds of shows.

Assisting with installation and strike of department productions mounted off campus when required.

Assisting with relocation of materials and items when required.

Assisting Technical Director with development of special and complex mechanical effects.

Executing welding when required.

Doing all other production-related tasks as assigned by Technical Director.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday; 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and some evenings and weekends will be required, including holidays.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience building, installing, and striking theatrical scenery.

Working knowledge of Vectorworks or other CAD software and experience reading scenic plans and associated paperwork.

Experience leading crews of four or more people.

Strong communication and organizational skills.
