Westminster College of the Arts (WCA) of Rider University seeks an Administrative Specialist, who under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Performance Management, will enter and maintain the WCA rehearsal and performance schedules in 25Live (scheduling software). Individual will: coordinate with Auxiliary Services regarding calendar, use of facilities, etc.; coordinate ticketing, box office and front-of-house needs and staffing for performances; hire, train, and supervise student box office and usher staff; schedule student, faculty, and staff recitals; provide general support to WCA Performance Management; complete box office ticketing sales/reporting/deposits for on- and off-campus events; and utilize box office software to report sales and reconcile with box office host company.

Position Requirements

- High School diploma or equivalent 
-Administrative support background and demonstrated strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills needed in a fast-paced, multi-task oriented setting 
-In addition to general administrative experience, the ideal candidate will demonstrate experience and success in more than one of the following areas: performing arts program scheduling; ticketing; box office; front of house operations 
-Must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to handle situations, inquiries and materials with professionalism, courtesy and confidentiality 
-Ability to work independently and as part of various teams, meet deadlines, exhibit calmness and flexibility in responding to the many demands of the performance dimension of the WCA 
-Experience with cash register operations and basic accounting 
-Working knowledge of database management through Excel or other similar programs 
-Evening and/or weekend hours will be required in support of performances and productions 
-Ability to supervise student employees

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience

-Bachelor’s degree 
-Minimum of (1) year experience working in a related position 
-Ability to work in both Macintosh and PC-based platforms 
-Familiarity with 25Live, Banner or other educational scheduling and computer software 
-Experience working in a higher-education setting 
-Demonstrated experience with a complex scheduling and ticketing operation 
-Experience in one or more arts disciplines
