Rider University Lifting Barriers

The Department of Graduate Education, Leadership, and Counseling at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor of Business Education for the Fall beginning September 8, 2021. This position is to teach BSED 530 Emerging Instructional Strategies in Business Education. This educational subject-area methods course introduces post-baccalaureate teacher certification candidates in Business Education to the range of topics and variety of strategies for inclusive teaching in business-related classes. Emphasis is on providing professional mentorship and access for candidates to a diverse range of Business classroom settings and field sites. Central to the course is discussion and reflection about the skills, knowledge, and dispositions necessary for a Business educator in New Jersey schools. 
The course meets Monday: 4:30 – 7:30 pm.

Position Requirements

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Business Education 
·       Master’s or Post-master’s degree in Curriculum, Supervision, or Educational Leadership
·       NJ Teacher Certification in Business Education
·       At least 5 years’ experience as teacher/Business educator
