The Post-Doctoral fellow will be responsible for our study entitled, “Understanding the Experiences of Black Students at WPI—and How to Improve Them”. Though the project is in the Provost’s Office, the Fellow will report to Professor Robert Krueger, the project’s lead. In addition to taking primary
responsibility for developing and implementing the attached study, the Fellow will be free to spend 20% on a self-designed research project in Krueger’s Development Design Lab. Finally, the Fellow will be able to teach one course in their discipline or advise appropriate IQP/MQPs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Post-Doctoral Fellow will:

• Be the “face” of the project and field all queries regarding its intent, implementation, and completion

; • Create a project advisory board of WPI students and staff from around campus. Krueger is to provide an initial list;

• Report out monthly to the advisory board and seek input; • Conduct all aspects of the attached study. Work with Krueger and the team to develop and implement fully and appropriately;

• Provide Krueger and the team bi-weekly written and verbal updates of progress and resource needs;

• Take responsibility for data analysis, with advice from and review with the research team;

• Prepare a series of written quarterly reports for the Provost, the Deans, advisory board, and research team;

• Take lead in writing the final report and any papers for publication;

• Seek opportunities to extend the project beyond WPI to AITU and other organizations;

• Work on a project of their initiation through the Development Design Lab;

• Teach one course or advise IQPs/MQPs related to their research.
