This is an immediate need for a Seminar Coordinator for the Informal Curriculum (IC) Committee. Seven (7) hours per week, temporary for 90 days with potential for long term employment. $19.61 per hour.

Key responsibilities
A. Support the IC Committee in developing and presenting 16+ public programs per semester:

  • Consult with individual faculty presenters on event format.
  • Schedule all IC programs and reserve campus venues.
  • Assess presenters' setup/support needs; coordinate with IT and other entities to secure that support.
  • Provide on-site support as needed during IC events (eg introductions, attendance, announcements, feedback collection). Serve as Zoom host for online programs.
  • Publicize IC events to Seminar students and faculty in a timely fashion:
    1. Each semester, coordinate the distribution of print calendars
    2. Create and update an online calendar
    3. Compose, edit, and send timely e-mail event reminders
    4. Serve as primary contact for event-related questions from Sem faculty
  • Coordinate with Performing Arts or other co-producers, to facilitate cross-promotion and ticketing process.

B. Provide administrative support to the IC Committee Chair and IC Committee:
  • Schedule and attend IC Committee's monthly meetings
  • Provide updated planning docs (reading lists, scheduling grid etc.) and track decisions & action items.
  • Prepare and submit IC artist/speaker agreements. Generate and submit Purchase Requisitions, Contract & Agreement Routing (CAR) forms, and check requests.
  • With IC Chair, monitor IC's programming budget; track GL transfer activity, and reconcile budget spreadsheet to close out fiscal year.
  • Organize and update an online archive of Informal Curriculum documents and records: program guidelines, policies and protocols; self-assessment studies; attendance records; participant feedback etc.
The IC Coordinator reports to the IC Committee Chair and the Director of Collegiate Seminar.

Experience and Qualifications
Qualifications: Organized, efficient, self-directed and an effective problem-solver. Excellent written and oral communication skills; the ability to work collaboratively. Proficiency with Google Docs, Word, Excel, Doodle, Zoom, and other commonly used applications.
