The section of Hospital Medicine is seeking a Coordinator, Business Operations to support programs with the day-to-day operations. The main responsibilities include auditing patient lists using Microsoft Excel, credentialing and re-credentialing providers, completing hiring and onboarding activities, annual compliance tracking, updating online provider schedule, scheduling and creating meetings, drafting meeting agendas and power point presentations, event planning, and special projects. This position requires excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to interact professionally and efficiently with both Faculty and Staff, is vital to this role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time-management skills and attention to detail are equally important in this position. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with a team and independently, and can follow projects and files to completion.

Job Duties

  • Audits provider patient lists against charges billed daily to identify missing charges, follows up with provider to submit missing charges, serves as point of contact with Patient Billing Services, updates the database as needed.
  • Follows up with providers to obtain credentialing and re-credentialing application documents, prepares and submits a completed file for credentialing review, keeps a tracker of all activities, provides continued monitoring of file status. 
  • Creates positions, assists with recruiting including downloading resumes, scheduling interviews, updating trackers, submits appropriate onboarding paperwork.
  • Reviews the online provider schedule on a daily basis and update shifts as needed, communicates with Medical Director and providers to fill open shifts, maintains trackers.
  • Maintains online provider schedule, creates monthly reports for shifts worked, supporst Faculty as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree.
