Are you excited about trying out new ideas and making a positive difference? Do you have an excellent knowledge and understanding of sustainability and relish the opportunity to work collaboratively? Do you want to join a dynamic and committed team to help drive forward sustainability at the University?
Sustainability sits at the heart of the University’s new strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sustainability Service who support the University to deliver on our sustainability commitments. Through our strategic approach to sustainability, we draw on the diverse expertise of our students, staff and partners to collaborate in finding sustainable solutions to global challenges, and to maintain our position as world-leaders in sustainability. Delivering this strategy requires significant engagement and collaboration with the whole University community, and externally, to facilitate behaviour and process change.
This role will play a key part in driving forward our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to ensure an equitable sustainability approach and generate positive value for society. We are looking for an experienced sustainability professional who has passion and energy to drive and lead key sustainability programme activity, whilst being adaptable to respond to new strategic directions and service priorities. You will be a strong communicator as well as having excellent project and programme management capabilities, with ability to coordinate input from across multiple sources and disciplines. You will be capable of leading complex programmes of activity, collaborating and influencing across different departments to engage with our community to drive change and achieve successful programme outcomes.
