Job Description


The Senior Budget Associate is responsible for budgeting for and maintaing the budget for the entire college. Must have advanced knowledge of what is needed to assist management, leadership, and all departments in budgeting for the next fiscal year as well as maintaining the budget for the current fiscal year. Will conduct moderate to complex financial analysis projects, prepare financial reports, as well as analyze and present recommendations to management based on financial reports. Also responsible for the routine analysis of data, monthly reporting, development of tool-sets within various platforms, financial modeling, and special projects to facilitate decision-making process from staff to executive level. Must be able to work collaboratively with teams.

Job Duties

  • Complete analytical reviews of submissions by department for funding requests.
  • Determine if there is funding by monitoring/reviewing revenue and expenses and processes requests as needed.
  • Complete projects as requested by management and leadership related to all funding areas and missions within the college.
  • Complete various additional analysis and reporting that is due on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Review positions submitted by the college and determines if there is funding to support.
  • Work with the departments to obtain all necessary information needed for review.
  • Gather and organize data and assists in budget preparation.
  • Work with management, leadership, and departments in completing the budget.
  • Provide technical, financial, and operational support to departments.
  • Budget for and maintain the $35M capital budget for the college.
  • Provide analysis and reporting as requested by leadership and review contracts related to capital.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.  
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Five years of relevant experience in complex financial analysis or budgeting
  • Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or related)
  • Mastery knowledge of SAP, SQL, and Excel, healthcare specific knowledge
